Meet the Team
Geert Geerkens
Leopold Geert Geerkens is the current President of the European Bedding Industries Association (EBIA). With over 40 years of experience in the bedding sector, including senior leadership at Veldeman Bedding and the Dutch Bedding Company, he combines deep industry expertise with a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Diana Harlova
Diana is the Chief Operating Officer of TED BED EAD, a leading Bulgarian bedding manufacturer. With more than two decades of experience in the company, she has advanced from assistant to senior management, driving organizational growth and international expansion. She also serves as Vice President of the European Bedding Industries’ Association (EBIA), representing TED BED at the European level.
Frederik Lauwaert
Frederik studied law at Ghent University in Belgium and built his professional career in a European context. He joined CEI-Bois, the European Confederation of Woodworking Industries, in 2002, where he served for almost 15 years as Legal Adviser, supporting the sector on a wide range of policy and regulatory matters. In 2019, he was appointed Managing Director of EBIA, the European Bedding Industries’ Association, where he is responsible for the daily management of the organization and represents the interests of the European bedding sector at the international level.
Matilde Follegatti
Matilde built her career as a Brand Manager in multinational companies. Today, at EBIA, she is responsible for events, digital and physical communication, as well as membership management, bringing her marketing expertise to support the growth and visibility of the association.
